LIFE MUDRAS

Relationship The best relationship is when the two can act like lovers and best friends seamlessly. It's when they have more playful moments than the serious ones. It's when they can joke around without offending and let each other have piggy backs, have unexpected hugs and random kisses. It's when they give each other that specific stare and just smile. It's when they prefer to stay indoors and watch a movie, eat anything - cuddle up rather than go outdoors. It's when they willingly stay up all night just to settle arguments and problems.  It's when they can completely act themselves and can still love each other more than ever for what they are and not for what they are not. 

Moods Like a sine wave dancing up and down, bounded by its own boundaries. Swinging in a rythmic pattern. Wants to break free but bound and guided by forces.  Forces sometimes natural, sometimes created.  Looks so pretty when in sync - creates harmony. When disoriented creates mayhem and loses its form. Man a victim or master of moods? Be they his own or of others around, in both cases dependent and helpless. Originally posted on 20th January 2013 

Compromise Life is all but a compromise. Moulded by circumstances beyond control and sometimes beyond comprehension.  Forcing you to act according to them and against. Deliberately ignoring the seen path and taking the unknown and unexplored. It takes you to new heights never seen before and depths which you have never experienced. The results you get vary on your beliefs and resilience. Some situations test the levels of your tolerance and your capacity to adapt. Injuring you, moulding you and breaking you - recoverable sometimes and at times leaving you in deep anguish. Compromise shows you the finer details of life, amplifies your pitfalls and glorifies your capabilities.  They are teachers and treacherous at times. The lessons learnt from them last a lifetime and beyond for others to follow and emulate. Relationships crack, crumble or get strengthened under compromise depending on the way you react under those circumstances.

Life is funny Takes turns and unexpected ones. Never warning, never planned.  Comes like a bolt, hits harder than it. Numbs you, breaks you - makes you strong? Hard to understand, harder to decipher. But the funny part is that it still moves on undisturbed, calmly like a river snaking through a quaint valley. Even in the common affairs of life, in love, friendship and marriage - how little security we have because we trust our happiness in the hands of others. Tensions mount and dismount with passage of time. The scars it leaves are very deep and difficult to conceal. Sometimes I feel that these scars are given by ourselves because we don't act and react at the right time. It is very necessary to react rather than suffer silently. It might seem difficult at first but it should be done. A few feathers will be ruffled but it is worth it rather than suffering silently. 

Feelings: Feelings - What a game of emotions. When they exist in excess a person becomes an emotional fool and the moment they take a backseat the same person becomes a heartless soul. Is it right to have feelings or I ask Is it right to display them?  Seems a difficult thing to answer. They become CARE when you mix them with attention, LOVE when you mix them with expression and sensitivity. Same thing but differently packaged. Feelings are so much like living beings. They reside in the heart and like any other living thing they too live and die for various reasons.  It feels bliss when you give it and get it, but feels worst than blisters when someone does not display or acknowledge them. Just imagine life without them - tasteless and still, just like a wooden log which belongs to a felled tree. It needs experienced hands and heart to make them the fountain of life.
